Somerset PACE Presents
Turning Three Essentials
Thursday, May 31, 2012
There is still time to register for Somerset PACE’s presentation on May 31st at the Old Town Hall (Rt. 138, Somerset) at 6:30 PM by Miriam Scrivner from the Federation for Children with Special Needs called Turning Three Essentials.
This workshop provides information for parents about the process of transitioning a child from Early Intervention to publicly funded services after the age of three whether in public or private preschool. Discussion will include the required Early Intervention transition planning steps, eligibility for special education, the TEAM process and the parent’s role in planning, making decisions and monitoring progress for their child. Parents whose children are not receiving EI services, but suspect their child may qualify for special education are encouraged to attend as well as home daycare providers and other private daycare and preschool teachers.
This presentation will be offered to all families and professionals, and will actively involve the South Bay Family Services Early Intervention group.
This event is FREE and open to the public!
