SOMERSET — The Somerset Parents Advisory Council On Education thinks it is essential to have a third party expert come in to evaluate special education programs for cost and effectiveness in the Somerset Public Schools.
That was one of the statements made by PACE President Krysten Callina at presentation to the School Committee last week. Ms. Callina said the person or organization that would do the evaluation would need to have a specialized background in successfully creating and transitioning students from out-of-district programs to in-district programs with a success rate in progress and longevity.
